The PlayStation Experience event is an annual event for fans of PlayStation from all across the world, presented by Sony Computer Entertainment. PlayStation uses it to reveal and advertise games and game-related merchandise. With exciting presentations, panels and hands-on time with demos of unreleased games.
Playstation and accessibility
PlayStation already has some features to make their games more accessible. For example, when going to settings, you can choose to enable the text to speech, zoom, invert colors, larger text and high contrast feature. You can also customize the controller button assignments and set the speed for automatic scrolling.
This year, PlayStation Experience 2016, will kick off on Saturday, December 3rd at 10:00am at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The exciting news is that this year at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 4rd the event holds a panel dedicated solely on accessibility. The description of the panel states:
“Accessibility features help empower all gamers—not just those with disabilities—and we want to set an industry standard of inclusion. We’re bringing together some of the top minds from the accessibility community, PlayStation and Naughty Dog to discuss best practices for game developers and to share powerful stories about the broader impact of accessibility features in games.”
